Community Resource Network of Florida

is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

We are seeking a kind, reliable, and dedicated caregiver to support a 29-year-old young woman in her daily activities and accompany her on community outings. She is warm, easygoing, and highly social. Her interests include using the computer, watching movies and TV, talking on the phone, shopping, bowling, and dining out.

This is an independent contract position offering $15.00 per hour.

Schedule: One day per week, flexible; Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring the individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitating community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, community outings, grocery shopping, and appointments
• Promoting communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Completing daily progress notes

Qualifications and skills include:

• Ability to pass local and Level 2 background screening
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Age 18 or older
