Job summary

Sylvester & Cockrum in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Commercial/Industrial HVAC Technician to join our growing team, focusing on installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for commercial settings.

You will work on boilers, chillers, and various HVAC equipment while reporting to the Field Service Supervisor/Service Manager. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and professional field leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial/Industrial Service Technician.
• NC driver’s license and CFC universal certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service HVAC systems including hydronic, steam, chilled water, DX, and related equipment.
• Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, service, and repair.
• Follow safety requirements and use PPE.
• Keep records of work performed and parts used.
• Flexibility for extended shifts/overtime as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Communicate with customers.
