Experienced CNC Lathe Operator
Penn United Technologies, Inc. has an immediate need for a full-time, experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our Tooling Group. Our machinists specialize in multi-axis, high precision machining for our customers' critical-application needs.

Responsibilities:
- Prioritize, plan and prepare work. Analyze tasks and establish an appropriate sequence of operations
- Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications, number of parts to be machined, material specifications, machining stock, and due dates
- Set up and operate various CNC lathes
- Select correct tooling, speeds and feed rates for each operation according to requirements and knowledge of material properties.
- Verify dimensions of work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, comparators, calipers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
- Check machines for proper maintenance and preparation before starting each job
- Machine components to blueprint specifications and stock allowances
- Operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment
- Must meet speed expectations to ensure productivity

Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent blueprint reading, understanding of GD& T, mechanical and math abilities
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and comparators
- Commitment to quality, speed and accuracy, and maximizing acceptable product percentages
- Willingness to cross train on different equipment
- Able to work well independently and cooperatively with teams
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels
- Committed to safety, team development, and product and service excellence
- Able to comprehend written or verbal procedures
- Candidates must be able to work shifts, lift up to 40 lbs., and stand 8-10 hours per day.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Journeyworker papers or a minimum of FOUR years of precision machining experience REQUIRED
- Experience with CNC lathes
