Operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines to cut, shape, or form metal workpieces according to specifications. Performs all duties of CNC Machine Operators.

Other duties may be assigned.

Reviews specifications to determine machining sequence, checks dimensions of parts, interprets blueprints, and operates machines. Works according to the production schedule.

Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as work issues or damaged cutting tools.

Analyzes production difficulties and reports them to the CNC Specialist or Production Supervisor.

Measures conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, functional gauges, and blueprints.

Maintains required paperwork (e.g., production logs, scrap tickets).

Notifies CNC Specialist 2, CNC Specialist 3, or Supervisor of job completion or discrepancies.
