Job summary

Walther Manufacturing is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to develop and maintain CMM and vision inspection programs. The role focuses on meeting GD&T requirements and engineering specifications while collaborating with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure product conformance.

The successful candidate will write and validate inspection routines, analyze data, and drive improvements in measurement accuracy and efficiency across NPI, PPAP, and continual process optimization

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as CMM Programmer including writing and editing CMM software.
  • Strong GD&T and blueprint reading knowledge.
  • Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or MCOSMOS.
  • Experience with CAD is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, program, and validate CMM inspection routines using PC-DMIS or MCOSMOS.
  • Develop measurement strategies for complex geometries and tight tolerances.
  • Interpret drawings and GD&T to create accurate inspection programs.
  • Support NPI through inspection planning, FAI, and PPAP.
  • Perform receiving inspection as needed.
  • Support MSA and Gage R&R studies.
  • Troubleshoot dimensional issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to resolve tolerance issues.
  • Optimize CMM programs for efficiency and repeatability.
  • Maintain inspection standards, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Assist with calibration, qualification, and maintenance of CMM equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems.
  • All other duties assigned.
