Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Climbing Arborist to join our team. The role focuses on trimming and removing limbs to promote tree health and safety, with opportunities to work on a variety of outdoor projects across the region.

You will climb using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems, collaborate with ground crews, and operate a range of equipment. The position emphasizes safety, skill-building, and career growth within an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Love of outdoor work and safety.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights preferred.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program on hire.
• Ability to complete Davey First Aid/CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates preferred if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Trim and prune trees to remove diseased or dying limbs and improve health and safety.
• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS systems and work with ground crew.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection as needed.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and other equipment safely.
• Contribute to client projects while following safety and company standards.
