Job summary

McLane in the United States is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move goods to customers, maintain logs, and ensure safe on-site operations.

You will inspect and deliver, with pay between $75K and $90K, day-one benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus 401(k) plan after 90 days and vacation/sick leave accrual from day one. Home time and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required and valid.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 miles of tractor-trailer driving.
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for off-hour delivery accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations and document deliveries.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
