Job summary

McLane is looking for a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our team. You will inspect vehicles, ensure accuracy of bills and keys, and safely operate tractor-trailers to customer locations across the country.

Position requires a valid CDL-A, at least 21 years old, and 1 year (50,000 miles) of driving experience. Day-1 benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid holidays and more.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL and be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English sufficiently to perform job tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects and submit DOT report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination following DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver products to customer locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do As a CDL-A Delivery Driver

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
