Overview

Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity on a project site in St. Lucie County, FL for an experienced Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our geotechnical engineering and construction management practice based in Boca Raton. This position is ideal for a talented, highly experienced individual interested in leadership and contributing to innovative projects involving civil/geotechnical water infrastructure such as reservoirs, dams, levees, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include working on challenging technical projects, mentoring, project management, and business development. Key tasks may involve:

• Preparation of reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, and permits
• Geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seismic, seepage, etc.
• Reviewing field and lab documentation
• Project management and proposal support
• Site characterization and construction oversight
• Managing construction quality assurance and field inspections
• Leading project meetings, reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, schedules, and project milestones

Education and Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (required)
• Advanced degree (preferred)
• Professional registration (P.E., P.G.) (required)

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Experience managing large civil earthwork projects and estimating techniques
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software (e.g., e-Builder)
• Knowledge of geotechnical and CAD software (preferred)
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and travel
• Excellent communication skills
• Fieldwork and overnight travel up to 100%
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Health & Safety training and OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER (preferred)
