Kimley-Horn's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience to join their Structures team. This is not a remote position.

You will work on bridges and structural design projects, receiving mentorship and training to develop plan production and client interaction skills. The role emphasizes collaboration with a team, deadlines, and a path to professional licensure as an EIT within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Experience with structural analysis software.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

Kimley-Horn's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 3+ years of experience to join their Structures team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• You will have the opportunity to work on bridges, retaining walls, and other structural design efforts related to public and/or private bridge projects throughout the city
• Prepare bridge/structural plans, specifications and estimates for clients
• As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
• Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
• "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team
