Job summary

UW Medical Center – Montlake OR is seeking an experienced Surgical RN for a 90% FTE night-shift role. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care, circulating and scrubbing across complex procedures, in a collaborative environment with physicians and health care teams.

The position offers multiple shift options, with night differential and weekend considerations. BLS and a valid RN license are required, with at least two years in the general OR nursing setting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years current general OR nursing experience with circulating.
• Scrub experience is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for surgical patients, including preparing the surgical site and equipment.
• Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and managing patient needs, and monitoring patient recovery.
• Act as a patient advocate, maintain a sterile environment, coordinate with the healthcare team, and provide patient education for recovery.
• Circulate and scrub a variety of surgical cases.
