Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hillsborough is seeking experienced CHHA caregivers to serve clients in Belle Mead, Edison, Piscataway, Somerset, and surrounding areas. You will join the nation’s #1 network for at-home care with flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities.

As an Experienced CHHA, you’ll provide personal care, meal planning, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
• HHA Certification Reimbursement available after 90 days.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred to possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you’re scheduled to provide care.
• Feel confident in your physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and supporting clients.
• Adhere to dietary constraints and perform housekeeping and cooking duties as needed.
• Will comply with state and office health and safety standards (e.g., background checks).
• Have compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.
• Ability to observe patients accurately and respond promptly to health changes.

A Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.
