Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking experienced CAT Claims Reps to join our team across states. This role involves frequent travel, including long relocations, to catastrophe locations and out-of-state assignments, with a requirement to meet physical demands and climb ladders as needed.

You will investigate claims, determine coverage, evaluate losses, and decide on payments or denials while studying policies and endorsements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of claims handling experience.
• Field claims experience with multi-line property and casualty, wind/hail.
• Proficient with Xactimate software.
• Above-average communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to resolve complex issues and interpret data.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and travel.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate loss amount.
• Analyze legal liability and pay or deny losses.
• Be familiar with insurance coverage by studying policies, endorsements, and forms.
• Work towards the resolution of claims, possibly attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as necessary.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated experienced Claims professional to join our team.

• Be available for frequent travel up to 21 days at a time.


• Travel is required upon short notice to location of catastrophe, which would most likely be out of state.


• Meet the physical demands required for the position including carrying and climbing a ladder.


• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate the amount of loss, analyze legal liability and pay or deny losses.

Compensation

Auto-Owners offers a generous compensation package. For this position, the anticipated annualized starting base pay range is: $50,000.00 - $88,800.00. Other components of the compensation package include benefit dollars used to purchase certain benefits and several bonus opportunities.
