Job summary

Katahdin Homes is seeking a talented carpenter to join our team, focusing on residential projects with some commercial work. This role covers framing, trim, and custom woodworking across Portland and Southern Maine.

The candidate should have strong carpentry skills, ability to read plans, and work well with others. Travel and reliable transportation are required; Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm. Pay is up to $30/hr based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry and construction.
• Must have valid drivers license and means of transportation.
• Strong work ethic.
• Punctual.
• Verifiable work history / references.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel within Portland and Southern Maine region.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting floor plans.
• Measuring and cutting materials to the right size and shape.
• Installing and finishing cabinetry and millwork.
• Building and installing stairs, railings, and other finishing work.
• Working together with our team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
