Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Gwinnett in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Caregiver to support clients in Lithonia and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of caregiving experience, a caring attitude, and a commitment to safe, respectful care.

You will provide ADL assistance, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and follow care plans while communicating professionally with family and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of caregiving experience.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• Background check and hiring requirements including TB test, CPR/First Aid, driver’s license, car insurance, and Social Security card.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping related to client care and maintain a clean environment.
• Provide medication reminders as authorized.
• Observe and report changes in client condition and needs.
• Follow care plans and safety/infection-control procedures.
• Maintain client confidentiality and respect.
