Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced Research Analyst to support the NIH, Rockville Campus, in cancer epidemiology. You will perform data analyses using SAS, STATA, R, and Python, manage datasets, and assist in manuscript preparation.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and at least one year of project management experience. You will collaborate with PIs, contractors, and collaborators, and help manage budgets and study progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, biobehavioral health, biology, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in project management and technology transfer with contracts or MTAs.
• Advanced research experience in public health or epidemiology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through publications.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; experienced with EndNote; advanced in R.
• Skilled in SAS, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Photoshop.
• IRB amendments, CRADAs, IRB submissions, MTAs, and Human Subjects Protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in programming languages including SAS, STATA, R, and Python.
• Perform data and statistical analyses using standard procedures.
• Review literature and create bibliographies; assist with study design and data transformations.
• Analyze large databases in cancer epidemiology using data manipulation and statistical modeling.
• Manage data transfers, dataset creation, cleaning, and variable creation.
• Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and draft data sharing agreements.
• Assist with tracking samples, data, expenses, and budgets.
• Prepare charts and graphs for scientific presentations and manuscripts.
• Support PI site visits and manuscript preparation.
