Cowan Miller & Lederman (CML) is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join our Pacific Northwest law firm focused exclusively on U.S. immigration and nationality law.

You will work closely with attorneys, corporate clients, and foreign national employees on complex employment-based immigration matters for a diverse client base. The role emphasizes organization, detailed case management, and exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of business immigration experience in a law firm or corporate immigration environment.
• Demonstrated experience handling: PERM Labor Certification applications, H-1B petitions, L-1 petitions, I-485 Adjustment of Status applications.

Responsibilities

• Employment-Based Nonimmigrant Visa Matters: H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1 petitions.
• Employment-Based Permanent Residence Matters: PERM, I-140, and I-485 processing.
• Gathers supporting documentation from clients and tracks milestones and filing deadlines.
• Prepare case status reports for corporate clients and provide regular updates.
• Maintain case records and collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and assistants.
• Respond to client inquiries and assist with process improvement initiatives.
