Job summary

4LEAF, Inc. is seeking qualified building inspectors in Alameda or Contra Costa counties, CA. Inspectors will enforce building codes for new and altered structures and communicate complex issues to contractors, designers, and owners. Certification through ICC is required; DSA, OSHPD, and CASp are highly desired.

Experience preferred; duties include reading plans, applying codes, and writing inspection reports. Must have CA driver’s license and be able to work on-site across counties.

Qualifications

• Qualified to perform technical building inspections and enforce codes.
• Familiar with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances.
• Must have valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new buildings and alterations for code compliance.
• Interpret plans and building codes and communicate findings clearly.
• Prepare correction notices and inspection reports.
