Job summary

Jack Harper Electrical (JHE) is seeking an Experienced Bucket Truck Operator to support installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure. You will operate bucket trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and work on roadway projects with a strong emphasis on safety.

The role involves weather-exposed outdoor work, driving company vehicles, and collaborating with field teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 21 to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to safely operate a bucket truck, aerial lift, or demonstrate similar construction equipment experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and frequent drug screenings (to include marijuana).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment on roadway and electrical construction projects.
• Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Drive company vehicles and equipment to and from job sites.
• Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards.
• Load, unload, transport, and secure materials, tools, and equipment.
• Support traffic control operations, including flagging when required.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment.
• Assist field crews with installation, construction, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain required PPE, tools, and safety equipment.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training programs.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a motivated and experiencedBucket Truck Operator to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of transportation and electrical infrastructure projects.

• Traffic control and flagging experience.

Additional Advantage

• CDL Class A or Class B is a strong plus and highly valued, but not required.
• Candidates with a CDL may have opportunities for additional responsibilities and equipment operation.
