Job summary

Jack Harper Electrical (JHE) in the Gulf Coast region seeks a motivated Bucket Truck Operator to support installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have experience operating bucket trucks or aerial lifts, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. This is year-round, on-site work with opportunities for skill development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum age of 21 to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to safely operate a bucket truck, aerial lift, or demonstrate similar construction equipment experience
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, and perform physically demanding work
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and frequent drug screenings (to include marijuana)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment on roadway and electrical construction projects
• Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, streetlights, ITS equipment, and related infrastructure
• Work safely at heights and in various weather conditions
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
• Drive company vehicles and equipment to and from job sites
• Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company safety standards
• Load, unload, transport, and secure materials, tools, and equipment
• Support traffic control operations, including flagging when required
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment
• Assist field crews with installation, construction, and maintenance activities
• Maintain required PPE, tools, and safety equipment
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training programs
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
