Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership procedures
• Assist Service Advisor in test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Good knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Pass a background, drug, and MVR check
