Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
  • Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine repairs, brake system repairs, suspension repairs, transmission repairs, and electrical system repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements, to ensure vehicles are operating optimally.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential safety or performance issues and provide recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Accurately record parts usage and maintain an organized inventory of automotive parts and supplies.
  • Interact with customers to understand their concerns, provide explanations of repairs, and offer guidance on proper vehicle maintenance.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used, both electronically and in written format.
  • Stay abreast of the latest automotive technology, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and training opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members, including service advisors, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal automotive technician training program or certification from a recognized institution is highly preferred.
  • experience as an Automotive Technician is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and computerized components. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred.
  • Meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and informative manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and support colleagues as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
