Job summary

HERTRICH Family of Automobile Dealerships seeks an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Assistant Service Manager to lead customer interactions from check-in to completion. You will greet customers, schedule appointments, and clearly present repair estimates, while coordinating with technicians to ensure timely workflow.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a similar role (or 1+ year as an Assistant Service Manager), strong communication and sales skills, and comfort with dealership service

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or 1+ year as an Assistant Service Manager
• Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, high-quality service experience from check-in to completion
• Greet service customers and manage inbound service calls
• Schedule appointments and communicate service timelines
• Present repair and maintenance estimates clearly and confidently
• Coordinate repair orders with Technicians and monitor workflow
• Recommend additional services when appropriate
• Support daily service operations and administrative processes (training provided)
• Help maintain parts inventory and enforce service policies
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

• - 2-3 years ' experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer OR 1+ year as an Assistant Service Manager
• - Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills
• - Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• - Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems
• - High School Diploma or GED required
• - Valid driver's license with a clean or near-clean driving record
• - Flexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays
