Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships seeks an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Assistant Service Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. You will deliver a high-quality service experience from check-in to completion, greet customers, schedule appointments, and communicate timelines.

You will coordinate with Technicians, present estimates, and support daily service operations while pursuing growth within a respected, family-owned dealership group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer required.
• Customer-service and sales skills essential.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional, high-quality service experience from check-in to completion.
• Greet customers and manage inbound service calls.
• Schedule appointments and communicate service timelines.
• Present repair and maintenance estimates clearly.
• Coordinate repair orders with Technicians and monitor workflow.

What You'll Do:

• Recommend additional services when appropriate
• Support daily service operations and administrative processes (training provided to prepare you for Service Management)
• Help maintain parts inventory and enforce service policies
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For:

• 2-3 years' experience as an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer OR 1+ year as an Assistant Service Manager
• Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
• Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with a clean or near-clean driving record
• Flexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays
