Job description

Location: Irvine, CA | On-Site | Full Time | $17-$20 an hour | Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

The Cashier/AMO clerk is responsible for remitting payments to Extended Service Contract companies, as well as handling Gap and other aftermarket products sold. They process cancellations and issue refunds to consumers or lenders. The role involves payables, heavy reconciliation, and schedule cleaning.

The position includes registering Service Contracts and aftermarket warranty products, preparing cancellations and refunds, and schedule cleaning for each store.

1. Follow-up on outstanding claims
2. F&I, Ethos, AMO reconciliations and cancellations
3. Reserve reconciliations
4. Used car purchases and dealer trades
5. Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warrantor
6. Accurately coding aftermarket claims and entering data into the dealership's automated system
7. Processing warranty paperwork, verifying documentation and criteria as required by factory or distributor
8. Reviewing aftermarket claims and correcting errors
9. Administering warranty identification and disposal
10. Maintaining good relationships with all departments
11. Keeping informed about factory recalls and announcements

What You’ll Need:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Experience working in an automotive dealership
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and journal entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
