Qualifications

• 2+ years of auto glass experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide vehicle glass repair and replacement services in Safelite Shop or Mobile Shop with safety, quality and customer service focus; clean vehicles after each job.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems; perform diagnostic testing.
• Operate Safelite tools and technologies (True Seal, Ezi-Wire, GTS, chemicals, MRMs).
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles during the workday.
• Communicate with customers in person, text, and phone; promote Safelite products.
• Senior/Master Technicians mentor and lead technical activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.

A Brief Overview

You bring the skills—’we’ll match you to the right level and set you up to succeed. This position may be filled at the Technician, Senior Technician, or Master Technician level based on experience, qualifications, technical capabilities, and certifications.

Senior and Master Technician positions may include coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership responsibilities.

What You Will Do

• Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop in the most efficient manner, focusing on safety, quality and exceptional customer service. Clean customer vehicles after every job.
• Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including trouble‑shooting and completing diagnostic testing.
• Proficiently operate Safelite's tools and technologies, including: True Seal®, Ezi-Wire™ , Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required bv the "Safelite Way of Fitting", work order and customer administration systems, and Safelite's handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.
• Communicate with all scheduled customers in‑person, via text, and on the phone; present, promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services to customers.
• Senior and Master Technician levels will serve as a technical resource, support technician development, share best practices, and assist with coaching and mentoring activities.

What You’ll Get

• Technician: $24.00 - $26.50/hr.
• Senior Technician: $26.50 - $29.50/hr.
• Master Technician: $29.00 - $32.25/hr.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma GED/Equivalent Preferred
• Valid state-issued driver's license any other license(s) (as required by federal, state and local laws) to operate a company vehicle. Required
• Proven experience as an Auto Glass Technician (2+ years preferred)

Experience Qualifications

• Applicants will be considered for Technician, Senior Technician, or Master Technician placement based on experience, technical capability, certifications, productivity, quality performance, leadership experience, and customer service excellence.
• Technician: Typically 1+ years of vehicle glass installation, repair, replacement, recalibration, or closely related automotive service experience.
• Senior Technician: Typically 3+ years of vehicle glass experience with demonstrated technical proficiency, quality performance, and independent operation.
• Master Technician: Typically 5+ years of vehicle glass experience with advanced technical expertise and demonstrated mentoring, coaching, or training capability.
• Experience ranges are intended as guidelines and may vary based on qualifications and business needs.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and agreement to be monitored via in-cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance technology
