Cherry Bekaert in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Experienced Audit Staff to join our team. The role focuses on performing audits, assessing internal controls, and communicating findings to client personnel, with opportunities to contribute to footnotes and recommendations.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of public accounting or related experience, a bachelor's in accounting (masters preferred), and is CPA-eligible or certified.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in public accounting or other industry related experience.
• Experience using Engagement is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in accounting. Masters preferred
• CPA certified or the eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task)

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures on client financial statements and propose adjusting journal entries.
• Communicate with client personnel to assess accounting processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Review accounting transactions and apply GAAP appropriately.
• Prepare financial statement footnotes and internal control observations/recommendations.
• Research fundamental issues using online tools and perform other duties as assigned.
