Job summary

CLA, doing business as CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, is seeking an Experienced Audit Associate to service nonprofit clients in New England. This in-office role supports audit engagements, staff supervision, and client relations, with travel to client sites as needed. A CPA pathway is preferred and a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance is required.

You will work with a team across offices, contributing to high-quality financial reporting and compliance for nonprofit organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (internships may qualify).
• Ability to travel to client sites, including overnight travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures for nonprofit clients.
• Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and reports.
• Schedule, delegate, and review staff work; supervise and mentor staff.
• Maintain ongoing communication with managers about engagement status and issues.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely engagement wrap-up.
