Job summary

CLA is hiring an Experienced Audit Associate to service nonprofit clients in New England. The role is in-office and based out of any one of our New England offices.

You will perform significant audit and other assurance engagements, build relationships, and provide close personal attention to client needs. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA eligibility preferred, and 1 year of relevant experience in professional services, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (completed internship(s) may qualify).
• Ability to travel to client sites which may also require infrequent overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures for nonprofit clients.
• Audit complex areas or transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
• Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues.
• Proactively interact and communicate with clients to gather information for timely engagement wrap-up.
