Job summary

CLA is seeking an Experienced Audit Associate to join our Albuquerque, NM or Phoenix/Tucson, AZ offices. You will perform detailed audit work, collect data, and prepare reports while supporting multiple client engagements with accuracy and timeliness.

Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1 year of experience are preferred; CPA eligibility is desirable as you grow your career with CLA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (internships may count).
• CPA exam eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the detail work of audits, reviews, some compilations, and other assurance services for clients.
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, fraud, or non-compliance with laws and policies.
• Help build detailed reports on audit findings.
• Support multiple client engagements of varying size and complexity, on time and within budget, and communicate progress and audit results to supervisors.
• Complete assigned portions of engagements with consistency and accuracy within tight time frames.
• Interact with clients to gather information for timely engagement wrap-up.
• Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred (prior experience via internship(s) may be acceptable).
• Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
