Job summary

Sound Planning Communications, a leading AV integrator in Metro Detroit, seeks an experienced Audio-Visual Installation Technician to lead installation crews on commercial projects.

Responsibilities include installing, testing, and troubleshooting AV systems, reading drawings, coordinating activities with project managers and customers, and mentoring junior technicians. A strong customer-service mindset and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional audio-visual installation experience.
• Ability to lead an installation crew.
• Strong knowledge of commercial audio, video, and structured cabling systems.
• Ability to read construction drawings, AV plans, and signal-flow diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a dependable driving record.
• CTS certification is preferred but not required.
