Knife River Corporation is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator to operate an asphalt distributor truck and apply emulsions on road surfaces. The role requires experience and a CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, with shifts that may vary to meet project needs.

The position emphasizes safe operation, daily maintenance, and the ability to work in varying conditions, including night work and travel between project sites. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• One year or more experience operating an asphalt distributor truck.
• Must have understanding of spraying asphalt emulsions on road surfaces.
• Must possess a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt distributor truck to spray emulsions on road surfaces.
• Connect hoses and fill pressure tanks; regulate burner and pump operation.
• Adjust spray bar width and flow to meet project requirements; monitor gauges for even distribution.
• Perform routine safety checks, minor maintenance, and report major issues.

Skills

Experience operating distributor truck

CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements

Ability to work day or night shifts

Bilingual English/Spanish (a plus)
