Knife River Corporation in Sauk Rapids, MN is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator (Seasonal) to operate and maintain a tack truck that sprays bituminous asphalt cement on road surfaces. The typical schedule is Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–6:00 PM, with Saturdays as needed.

The role requires a CDL Class B license, a valid medical card, and a clean driving record. Benefits are offered, with seasonal employment supporting year-round coverage.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B license required per DOT regulations.
• Must have and maintain a valid medical card.
• Maintain acceptable driving record and required endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely and properly operate truck with oil/bituminous emulsions.
• Connect hose and fill pressure tank with bituminous liquid.
• Regulate burners to heat liquid and operate pump.
• Drive truck at steady speed and complete load tickets.
• Assist crews while unloading and maintain truck cab information.
• Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance as needed.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DNR).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
