Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Care Services on the OTEC unit. The role involves direct patient care and education for patients undergoing malignant diagnoses, with coordination of admissions and follow-up from IPOP.

Responsibilities include administering IV hydration, blood products, chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy, while maintaining vascular access and ensuring safety across the treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more of RN experience.
• Two (2) or more years of recent Oncology RN experience (in last 3 years).
• Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including patient education and management of patients undergoing malignant diagnoses.
• Coordinate hospital admissions to and from IPOP.
• Administer IV hydration, blood products, chemotherapy, biotherapy and immunotherapy; manage unexpected needs during treatment journey.
• Demonstrate ability to start IVs, access ports, and maintain vascular access.
• Monitor/coordinate high-acuity symptoms and document compliance and safety activities.
