Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking an experienced ACI Field Technician II for Tukwila, WA. You will perform testing on soil, concrete, and asphalt, follow drawings and specifications, and document results for a long-term WSDOT project in the Seattle area.

The role requires 1 year of construction material testing, ACI Grade I, and ability to work off shifts/overtime. Valid license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year construction material testing experience.
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I Certificate.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
• Ability to work overnight hours and off shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, asphalt or other) and report data.
• Work utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods to observe site activities and perform tasks.
• Make detailed observations, provide limited interpretation and document test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams.
