Job summary

Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company delivering fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores across the USA. We are looking for experienced Box Truck Drivers to pick up DSD routes at 9:00 pm, with weekend work required.

The Route Driver is the face of Caruso, responsible for safe operation of a CMV, delivering to customers on time, and building strong relationships while complying with DOT

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift.
• Must have at least 12 months of verifiable 18ft-26ft box truck driving experience in the last 3 years.
• A good driving record with no reckless driving, DUI/OMVI, hit and run, excessive speed (15+ mph), or more than two moving violations in the last 24 months.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company provided CMV.
• Deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
• Follow routes and time schedules.
• Load, unload, and deliver to customer specifications and obtain required customer sign offs.
• Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers.
• Review and verify invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
• Complete DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
• Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
• Maintain delivery logs and records.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.

Job Summary

The Route Driver is the face of the company and must always project a professional and positive image of Caruso while maintaining and building excellent customer relationships. This person is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle and safely pick up and drop off items to customers so that the customer is given an excellent service experience. This person must maintain compliance with all company policies/procedures and DOT regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Operate a company provided CMV.
• Deliver products to our customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
• Follows routes and time schedule.

Requirements

  • Reckless driving
  • DUI/OMVI
  • Hit and Run
  • Excessive Speed as defined by DOT (15+ miles over)
  • No more than two moving violations within the last 24 months.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.

Benefits include

• Pay up to $26.00 per hour depending on experience and license type.
