UnityPoint Health – Meriter in Madison, WI, seeks an Experience Specialist to welcome patients and visitors and assist with paperwork for a smooth visit. With a 40-hour week, the role offers a base compensation starting at $18.32 per hour and a benefits-eligible position.

You will greet guests, direct them to departments, and help with paperwork while upholding confidentiality and UPH standards. High school diploma and prior service experience preferred.

• Previous customer service experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Prior administrative or clerical experience preferred.

As an Experience Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating a smooth, welcoming, and supportive environment for patients and visitors. This position provides front‑line assistance by greeting guests, guiding them to the appropriate departments, and helping with required paperwork to ensure an efficient visit.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Provide a professional, welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors, offering information on services and procedures.
• Keep patients and families informed about wait times, provider availability, and any delays.
• Address general inquiries and concerns with empathy, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Offer guidance on charges, payment processes, and insurance procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up to date patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Answer and route incoming calls, providing basic information as appropriate.
• Ensure all interactions and data handling follow confidentiality and UPH standards.
