As a Experience Designer Lead within PNC’s Digital organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH.

As an Experience Designer Lead on the Digital Account Opening team, you will play a critical role in driving digital sales growth, onboarding quality, and customer experience for consumer and business product applications and digital onboarding journeys. The role is central to both execution and strategic direction for high‑impact initiatives that directly influenced revenue, primacy, and customer acquisition outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end design and optimization of digital account opening applications and microapps, including rebuilding and maintaining core experiences for ongoing development use.
  • UX research-driven redesigns to reduce drop-off, improve mobile completion, and lower cognitive load across the application funnel.
  • Rapid prototyping of design flows
  • Ongoing optimization work, including AEM migrations for faster iteration and deep NPS analysis to identify and implement incremental improvements.
  • Long-term partnership on cross-team initiatives, including the redesigned locator experience and post‑launch SEO enhancements.
  • Define and drive alignment to design system standards, patterns, principles, and accessibility requirements
  • Coordinate with technology, engineering and accessibility partners to ensure design-to-development collaboration in compliance with standards

Experience using Figma for design and prototyping and Adobe Experience Manager for content management highly desirable.

Job Description
  • Transforms complex tasks into intuitive, accessible and easy-to‑use designs through the entire experience lifecycle, from the first‑time user to the expert.
  • Leads and guides the discovery of customer and business needs through contextual inquiries, generative and quantitative research. Uncovers customer latent needs and creates vision to meet those needs.
  • Sets the design direction and strategy. Leads others to execute visual, information, interaction and service design elements of the initiative that meets business and customer needs and delights customers. Communicates the initiative and product to others, including senior management, through user journeys, storyboards, prototypes, wireframes and other materials.
  • Sets the direction for usability of new and existing products, makes adjustments to align with shifting customer expectations.
  • Establish research methods and strategies, conduct studies, and present findings that will inform improvements in the customer experience.
  • Coaches and mentors junior staff; Assists management team in training new staff.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $91,000.00 - $169,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
