Job summary

Thrive Senior Living in Georgia is seeking a compassionate Georgia Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to safely administer medications and provide person-centered care to residents. You will work with a clinical team to support independence and dignity, documenting each medication in the eMAR system.

Ideal candidates bring CMA certification, CPR/First Aid, and a commitment to quality care. Weekend and holiday availability is required, with opportunities to grow within a supportive organization.

Qualifications

  • Georgia CMA certification is required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable on hire.
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Safely administering medications following the 7 Rights of Medication Administration.
  • Accurately documenting medications using the eMAR system.
  • Observing residents for medication effectiveness and reporting concerns to the nurse.
  • Assisting residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs as assigned.
  • Supporting residents during meals, hydration, and daily routines.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating with the clinical team.
  • Creating meaningful relationships with residents and families through compassionate care.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Following Thrive policies, state regulations, and infection prevention guidelines.
  • Collaborating with nurses, caregivers, and leadership to provide outstanding resident care.

What You'll Do

As a Medication Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care while maintaining their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities Include
  • Safely administering medications while following the 7 Rights of Medication Administration
  • Accurately documenting medications using our Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) system
  • Observing residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, or changes in condition and promptly reporting concerns to the nurse
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed
  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs as assigned
  • Supporting residents during meals, hydration, and daily routines
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the clinical team
  • Creating meaningful relationships with residents and families through compassionate, respectful care
  • Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Following all Thrive policies, state regulations, and infection prevention guidelines
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, caregivers, and leadership to provide outstanding resident care

Qualifications
Required
  • Current Georgia Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and personal care
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
Preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing
  • Experience caring for individuals living with dementia
  • Experience using an electronic medication administration record (eMAR)
