Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Materials Handler to support warehouse operations in El Paso, TX. The role involves picking, packing and preparing orders for shipment, with cross-training across warehouse areas and ongoing inventory control.

The position requires 1–2 years of experience (preferred) and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training to operate material handling equipment will be provided as needed.

• Follows established process to fulfill orders: pick, quality check, pack and prepare orders for shipment.

• Willingness to train and be certified to operate material handling equipment (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret, pallet jack, walkie rider).

What Materials Management contributes to Cardinal Health Operations are responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Materials Management is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels.

Shift Details

4:00 am to 2:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience, preferred

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
