McLane Company, Inc. is seeking an Expeditor II to ensure timely delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will represent the company to customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep inventories balanced and orders moving.

This role emphasizes PO placement, monitoring, and coordination with transportation to optimize backhauls and avoid obsolescence. Strong organization, teamwork, and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience and/or customer service and administrative support experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Place and monitor purchase orders to maximize in-stock levels and balance costs.
• Partner with distribution center functions to meet operating targets.
• Optimize receiving, storage, picking, and loading operations.
• Maintain inventory levels to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
• Coordinate with Transportation to optimize backhauls.
• Manage inter-center transfers, allocations, and supply and quality issues.
• This position may have additional duties or special projects.

The Expeditor II is responsible for the delivery, quality, and satisfaction of products to the customer. They also represent the company to the customers they serve.

What you’ll do as an Expeditor II:

• Place and monitor purchase orders to maximize in-stock levels, minimize inventory exposure, and balance freight costs.
• Partner with other distribution center functions to maintain operating targets.
• Optimize receiving, storage, picking, and loading operations.
• Maintain inventory levels to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
• Coordinate with the Transportation Department to optimize backhauls.
• Manage inter-center transfers, allocations, and supply and quality issues
• This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience and/or customer service and administrative support experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
