Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Virginia Beach is seeking an Expeditor to ensure food products meet standards and coordinate between kitchen and front of house. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely service, and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining quality and presentation across all plates before delivery to guests.

Qualifications

• , Strong organization skills are required to maintain multiple orders in expo window and ensure guests receive correct order.
• Basic computer skills are required to utilize systems and read printed ticket orders.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, such as supervisors, coworkers, public, etc.

Responsibilities

• Set up expo stations according to standards.
• Maintain station cleanliness & organization throughout shift.
• Ensure the proper placement, presentation & delivery of food orders on trays.
• Inspect all plates & product before it reaches the guest to ensure accuracy of order, garnish, proper temperature, & appealing presentation.
• Expedite service of food to ensure the guests receive their order in a prompt & efficient manner.
• Maintain clear & effective communication between kitchen and restaurant staff to keep flow of food orders running smoothly.
• Stock kitchen areas with china, flat and glassware.
• Assist servers when needed.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
