Job summary

StandardAero in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Expeditor to coordinate and schedule commercial shipments of engines and components, ensuring on-time transportation to support production and customer commitments.

You will track shipments, resolve delays, and work with internal teams and transportation providers to keep materials moving safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating freight shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, or vendors.
  • Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted for ~25% of the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule commercial shipments, ensuring on-time transportation to support production and customer commitments.
  • Monitor daily production and shipping schedules to identify transportation needs, prioritize urgent shipments, and proactively address potential delays.
  • Coordinate with Production, Operations, Customer Service, Materials, Logistics, and transportation providers to ensure seamless movement of engines and components.
  • Track shipments from pickup through delivery and provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
  • Resolve transportation issues, delays, shortages, and routing challenges to support on-time delivery.
  • Review and maintain accurate shipment information, including engine model/serial numbers, destinations, schedules, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate pickups, deliveries, transfers, and special transportation requirements with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Utilize ERP, transportation, and reporting systems to monitor shipments, identify outstanding requirements, and maintain data accuracy.
  • Ensure engines and materials are properly staged, handled, and transported in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Adapt to changing production priorities while managing multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job.
  • Complete training as required.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, shipping, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating freight shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, or vendors.
  • Experience using an ERP system and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted for approximately 25% of the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired Skills
  • Experience supporting aerospace, aviation, MRO, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience working with production, operations, materials, logistics, customer service, and/or supply chain teams, including managing time-sensitive or expedited shipments.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, internal teams, and external partners regarding shipment status, inquiries, and requests.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures, with the ability to follow safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements while maintaining attention to detail.
