Responsibilities

  • Act as the main liaison among project team, procurement, logistics, QA, and vendors.
  • Review POs and contracts to detect discrepancies and prevent delays.
  • Contact vendors to confirm PO receipt and interpretation.
  • Ensure vendor schedules cover all phases and align with delivery terms.
  • Provide updates on supply progress to internal functions.
  • Monitor supply chain phases to identify delays and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare shipping documents and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain SAP data, including Goods Receipts and milestone releases.
  • Support delay evaluations and vendor variation requests or claims.
  • Offer vendor performance feedback per the vendor management process.
  • Assist in delay analysis and forecasting milestone achievements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Expeditor to serve as the vital link between procurement, vendors, logistics, inspection, and the project team. This role is essential in preventing delays that could impact construction, fabrication, or installation schedules. The ideal candidate will monitor supplier performance, identify risks early, and drive corrective actions to ensure the project stays on track, maintaining schedule integrity and cost efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to coordinate complex supply chain activities and contribute directly to project success.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team, procurement, inspection/QA, logistics, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
  • Review purchase orders and contractual documentation to detect discrepancies and prevent misunderstandings that could cause delays.
  • Contact vendors to confirm receipt and correct interpretation of purchase orders, expediting acknowledgment and compliance.
  • Ensure vendor supply schedules encompass all phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, inspection, shipment preparation, and transportation, aligning with contractual delivery terms.
  • Facilitate interface between vendors and internal functions involved in supply chain activities, providing reliable and current updates on supply progress.
  • Monitor all supply chain phases to identify potential delays early, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely availability of shipping documentation to support transportation and delivery of materials.
  • Manage "dual use" items and guarantee accurate SAP updates, including Goods Receipts and milestone releases.
  • Support the evaluation of delays and assist in defining vendor variation requests or claims.
  • Provide vendor performance feedback in accordance with the company’s vendor management process.
  • Support the evaluation of liquidated damages and contribute to delay analysis.
  • Maintain continuous, accurate forecasting of milestone achievements and delivery dates.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in supply chain coordination, procurement, or expediting within a project-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain phases, contractual documentation, and logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to identify risks early and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Relevant certifications or training in supply chain management or logistics are a plus.
