Expeditor – Procurement and Materials Support

About the Position
We are seeking an organized and dependable entry-level Expeditor to support procurement, purchasing, operations, warehouse, accounting, vendors, and project teams.
The Expeditor will help track purchase orders, materials, equipment, deliveries, receiving documents, and invoices to ensure information is accurate and materials arrive on schedule.

Responsibilities
- Track purchase orders from placement through delivery
- Contact vendors and suppliers for order updates, shipping dates, and delivery status
- Follow up on delayed or expedited materials
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, warehouse, production, accounting, and vendors
- Help prioritize materials needed to support project schedules
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, delivery schedules, and reports
- Enter and update information in computer and ERP systems
- Assist with matching purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices
- Help resolve delivery, receiving, proof-of-delivery, and invoicing discrepancies
- Provide professional customer service to vendors and internal team members
- Prepare reports related to order status, supplier performance, and late deliveries
- Support process improvements that improve delivery performance and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred but not required
- One to two years of experience in customer service, office support, procurement, purchasing, logistics, inventory, construction, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn quickly, follow up consistently, and manage multiple tasks
- Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
