Responsibilities

• Follow up and update POs using the Inventory Management Work Center and Eclipse system.
• Proactively update POs with customer and supplier/manufacturer commitments.
• Communicate with Sales about changes that affect customer expectations.
• Update ship dates in Eclipse using supplier acknowledgements.
• Collaborate with Buyers as required.
• Manage open orders and provide expediting and customer communication.
• Verify ship dates weekly with manufacturers and track shipments on dock dates.

Description

Position Summary:

As an Expeditor, you will be trained on effective maintenance and management of accurate ship date for open PO’s along with ancillary PO management efforts. On a daily basis you will be expected to define problems, collect data, establish facts to draw valid conclusions and effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organization staff and vendors. Competencies include excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills. This is a great entry level role to join our company and learn our processes!

Pay Range: $20 - $33 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)

• Use the Inventory Management Work Center and Eclipse business system to follow up and update PO’s
• Proactively update PO’s with customer and supplier/manufacturers commitments
• Communicate with Sales changes that affect customer expectations
• Use supplier incoming acknowledgements, to update ship dates in Eclipse
• Work with Buyers as required
• Order Management with open order reports including expediting and customer communication
• Work with manufacturers online services to confirm ship dates and track shipments weekly to confirm on dock dates

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

• Utility, Electrical and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
• High School diploma or G.E.D.; or
• 1-2 years customer service experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements:

• Must demonstrate good time management skills
• Must possess strong typing skills and 10 key by touch
• Must have excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
• Must have basic knowledge of computer skills- MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
• Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
