Job summary

Davis Defense Group, Inc. seeks an EWS Blended Seminar Instructor to support the College of Distance Education and Training at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

The EWS Blended Seminar Program executes three parts: a resident seminar, a non-resident online seminar, and a final resident period; the full program runs once per Academic Year. You will conduct Socratic seminars, assess student work with approved rubrics, and ensure adherence to policy and integrity while coordinating enrollment and LMS

Qualifications

• U.S. Marine Corps field grade officer with battalion/squadron level or higher experience.
• Graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School (resident, distance, or blended).
• Teaching experience, preferably using the Socratic method.

Responsibilities

• Complete required Faculty Orientation prior to teaching.
• Conduct Socratic onsite and online seminars using CDET approved curricula and schedules.
• Grade students’ papers and essays using CDET rubrics.
• Remediate students who fail exams with additional instruction.
• Enforce the CDET academic integrity policy and test security.
• Complete EOC surveys for each course and encourage completion of student surveys.
