Job summary

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a System Administrator Expeditionary Systems (OpAI) to contribute to Naval Operational Architecture and integrate AI capabilities into expeditionary systems, including sensor kits, UxS, C2, and TAK.

This is a 100% on-site role requiring an active DoD clearance and travel (CONUS/OCONUS). You will work with engineers and operators to maintain tactical systems, troubleshoot network issues, update edge servers, and ensure robust data pipelines

Qualifications

• 3+ years in business/ IT analytics, data engineering, software, or systems administration.
• Intermediate Linux command line experience.
• Experience with edge servers and embedded GPUs.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience troubleshooting tactical systems and deploying data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into expeditionary systems.
• Build and maintain tactical systems including radios and edge servers.
• Test software in field experiments to ensure data flow between sensors and C2.
• Work with ML engineers to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems.
• Monitor data pipelines and ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Stay updated on tactical data architecture and cybersecurity principles.
• Collaborate with software engineers to connect pipelines with operational systems.
