Job summary

UnCruise Adventures seeks an Expedition Guide in Juneau, Alaska to lead hikes, kayak trips, and interpretive programs, delivering engaging, informative content while upholding safety standards. You will work with a small vessel crew to ensure memorable guest experiences onshore and offshore.

Responsibilities include leading field expeditions, giving presentations, and supporting daily shipboard tasks to maintain a high-quality voyage.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of naturalist interpretation or environmental education in the field and for groups up to 90 participants.
Demonstrable written and verbal communications including interpretive materials and presentations development.
Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in natural and/or cultural history, or other relevant field of study, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Lead hiking and kayaking expeditions with emphasis on safety and guest enjoyment.
Deliver onboard presentations and wildlife narration integrated into the itinerary.
Collaborate with Expedition Leader and Guide team to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in behind-the-scenes tasks: photo editing, blogging, gear maintenance and organization.
Maintain professional demeanor and strong customer service throughout voyages.
