Gourmet Gorilla, Goose Island, Chicago, IL, is seeking a reliable Expeditor/Packer to join our sustainable foodservice team. You will receive items from kitchen staff, stage for next-day deliveries, and help ensure accurate labeling and staging for delivery.

This role runs Monday through Friday, 5am–1pm, with a start date immediate. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a refrigerated environment, and maintain strong attention to detail and communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English (bilingual in Spanish a plus).

Responsabilités

• Receive food items from kitchen staff and stage for next-day deliveries.
• Organize and pack cold food items.
• Assist in expediting and checking out delivery drivers.
• Troubleshoot expediting issues as they arise.
• Able to deliver if needed.
• Close out at end of day: ensure everything is prepared, labeled, and staged for delivery.
